Before the Grade System and CAE System can be activated, they must have been created (see documentation on ‘How to Add / Update Grade System’ and ‘How to Add / Update CAE System). Only then can both be set to be used for different classes in the school. To activate, follow the steps below:
1. Go to ‘Portal Settings’
2. Under Global Settings section, select ‘Academic’ tab
3. Under ‘GRADING SYSTEM, ACADEMIC HEAD & SCORE ROUND UP’ section, choose school level (Nursery, Primary, etc.)
4. From ‘choose a class’ section, select a class
5. Under ‘set class Grade System’ section, choose from the list the corresponding grade system for the selected class
6. From ‘set class CAE System’ section, select from the list the corresponding CAE System for the selected class
7. Click ‘Update setting’ to save.
8. Repeat step one to seven for all the classes in the school
Note: Steps 5 and 6 must be done before clicking on ‘Update Setting” (step 7). If step 5 is taken and step 6 skipped or vice versa, proceeding to step 7 would be futile, it would not take effect, rather an error message will appear as feedback.
Note: Step 7 will only apply if all the settings for academic setup are done properly.
