To generate a report means to produce or create an academic report. A term academic report means to create a detailed term report to show the academic and non-academic performance of each student.
Before you proceed to generate reports for students, you must be sure of the settings set from the school ‘portal settings'. Check through first before you proceed. Also, be very sure that all grades for all subjects and behaviors & skills for each student have been entered correctly and that all subjects have been approved (TA and AA checkbox). If all prerequisites have been checked, then you can proceed with generating the ‘term academic reports’. To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the ‘Reports’ module.
2. Click on the drop-down menu, ‘Academic’.
3. From the cascading menu, click on ‘Generate Reports’.
4. From the opened page, select ‘school level’ (Nursery, Primary etc.).
5. Select ‘Report Type’ (single class, level class).
Please note, selecting single class means you want to handle each class separately as individual classes, whereas, selecting level class means you want Nersapp to handle the reports of all classes or arms in a level together as one. In elaborating on level classes, take for example, in JS1 (level 17), there are three arms available, let’s say JS1a, JS1b, and JS1c. selecting ‘level class’ under ‘Report Type’ means Nersapp would merge all classes or arms in JS1 and take a cumulative average and position for all. So instead of having distinct class positions for each arm, Nersapp calculates the grades for all students and take the overall best as 1st and 2nd and so on. But if you do not want this method, select single class and Nersapp treat the records separately.
6. Click on ‘load’.
From the details that pops up, click to confirm that the ‘grades’, ‘TA approve’ and ‘AA approve’ sections are 100% for all students. ‘Behaviours and skills’ (if available) section do not need to be 100% for the reports to be generated. If any of the sections isn’t 100%, hover your mouse pointer to the percent score to reveal what subject(s) has some missing record or score. Once that is known, go back to that subject under ‘grades’ and fix it. Nersapp will not generate results if any of these prerequisites are not met.
7. Click on ‘generate’.
8. Select between ‘grade system comment’ (if you want Nersapp to initiate automatic comment for each student) or ‘teachers comment’ (if you want Nersapp to use comments already entered when entering grades)- see documentation on ‘how to record grades manually’
9. Enter ‘next term date’.
A default ‘school level title’ and ‘report title’ is already set and can be edited if necessary.
10. Click on ‘proceed’, and in a few seconds, the ‘report available’ column from the previous page is checked to confirm it to be okay.
Once the term reports have been generated, these can be processed and viewed for printing by anyone who is authorized. To view generated Term Reports, take the following steps:
1. Go to ‘Reports’.
2. Click on ‘Academic’.
3. Click on ‘Term Reports’.
4. ‘Select session’ (2017/2018, 2018/2019 etc.).
5. ‘Select Term’.
6. ‘Select class’.
7. ‘Select report’ of each student from the list and view the academic and non- academic performance of the student.
8. Click on the navigation arrow and swipe back and forth across all students in the selected class to view reports.
Please note: Adjustments made to reports that have been generated, such as editing of names, grades and so on, cannot take effect not until the report is deleted. After which the result has to be generated again. To delete a report, click on the options icon found beside the navigation arrow in step 8 above and then select ‘delete reports’.
Please note: On generating of result user will need to pay for the subscription fee for each student base on the payment plan selected.
